Kristina Dankova is an Associate in the Private Clients Practice at ALRUD Law Firm.

Kristina has experience advising clients on divorce, division of property and child arrangements, provides legal assistance in structuring private capital, including inheritance planning and participation in philanthropic activities.

Kristina has extensive experience advising clients in complex cross-border projects across multiple jurisdictions (including foreign citizenship and the location or ownership structure of assets).

Kristina’s experience also includes the preparation of nuptial agreements, property settlement and parenting agreements & wills. Kristina has handled complex transactions involving art, antiques and private aircraft.

Kristina graduated from Kutafin Moscow State Law University with a degree in Jurisprudence as part of the International Business Law programme. In 2020, she obtained her LL.M degree (Pericles American Business Law Centre).

Kristina joined the ALRUD team in 2022.

The spouse of a wealthy client and Russian citizen

in complex divorce proceedings simultaneously in both Russia and the UK. She developed a strategy to provide judicial protection in Russia and also coordinated the work of consultants in the UK. The jurisdiction of the UK court was challenged by multiple parallel court proceedings in Russia and London, and the children ended up living with the client in Russia*.

A wealthy client who owns assets in Russia and abroad

as part of a cross-border divorce case across three jurisdictions (taking into account the client’s family and business situation) involving the preparation of a risk mitigation strategy and divorce documentation.

A client who owns Russian and foreign assets

on the preparation of joint and personal wills for the client and his spouse, and also advising his spouse on estate planning issues.

On transactions involving art and luxury items,

including assistance with import and export outside the EAEU, the preparation of contracts and permits, and the examination of art objects*.

Wealthy clients

on the structuring and completion of documentation for transactions involving business jets (purchase and acceptance from the factory, dry/wet lease, transfer to the operator, insurance, hiring aviation personnel and obtaining permits from the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency)*.

On a transaction involving the sale of real estate in Europe,

which was complicated by the fact that the owner is a minor child of the client (Russian Federation). The transaction was successfully completed after securing approval from the Russian guardianship authorities and opinions on Russian law for local guardianship authorities in the EU.
