Ius Laboris won the 2011 European Network of the year at The Lawyer awards

The International Alliance Ius Laboris specializing in employment law, a partner of ALRUD law firm since 2006, won in the category 2011 European Network of the year at The Lawyer awards.

On Wednesday 28 September, the International Alliance Ius Laboris won the 2011 European Network of the year at The Lawyer awards which took place in Geneva.This was the first time the Alliance has been nominated, and to win an award with the first nomination is a great achievement. The award shows that the jury appreciates international activities and initiatives of the alliance aimed at development of labor relations issues. The jury particularly noted the quality of the alliance activities and its contribution to business over the past 10 years.

ALRUD Law Firm is a member of the International Alliance since 2006 and jointly with other members runs projects for companies around the world. Ius Laboris members are leading experts in issues of labor relations regulation. During the official visit to Moscow in September 2011 members of alliance held a conference «The Employment Law – a driver or an for business development?» for Russian companies together with ALRUD law firm and Russian Corporate Counsels Association.

The event attracted more than 100 Russian and foreign companies, whose representatives visited the National Hotel in Moscow to summarize the experience in the field of an employment law in Russia and EU as well as to propose real mechanisms for amending the legislation. ALRUD partner Irina Anyukhina, head of ALRUD labor practice, was a moderator of the first section ' Employer And Employee Interests Balance: Is It Reachable?”

Irina also took part in press conference attended by members of Ius Laboris: – Sam Everatt, executive director of the International Alliance Ius Laboris (Belgium), Michael Burd, a partner of Lewis Silkin law firm (UK), Chris Engels, a partner of Clayes & Engels law firm (Belgium), and Peter Susser, a partner of Lirttler Mendelson law firm (USA).
