In the run-up to Lawyer day from November 25 to December 2 the international theoretical and practical conference in Moscow State University’s Faculty of Law named «The Judicial reform in Russia: past, present, future» took place. During the conference subject sessions were held, where the urgent questions of advocacy, banking law, intellectual properly, international law, financial law and other fields of law were discussed.
At the first day of the conference the historical exposition of 150th Anniversary of Judiciary Reform in Russia was open. The exhibition is placed in Faculty of Law Museum. It is based on genuine and reproduced materials, books, rare documents and photographs, material evidences related to theevents of 150 years ago, which were collected from archives, libraries, museum and book collections.
The visitors could see an example of speculum tabled in courts in the 19th century, original chains and court officials’ marks of distinction, uniform and headdress of the officials at the court department in the second half 19th century. There were rare legal books as the contemporary of the Reform and books that were published afterwards and dedicated to the controversial issue.
Special attention on the exhibition was paid for the participation of legal science representatives in court reorganization, personnel trainings for juridical activities, particular in Moscow Imperial University (former title of MSU). There were many court personalities on the collective student photographs became well known in the future.
