ALRUD Associate Feodor Vyacheslavov addressed ICC Сonference “Multiparty Arbitration and Parallel Proceedings”

On June, 28 ALRUD Associate Feodor Vyacheslavov addressed the Сonference of the International Chamber of Commerce “Multiparty Arbitration and Parallel Proceedings” with the report “Corporate disputes: Shareholders agreements and appropriate jurisdiction”.

In the report Feodor discoursed on the key procedural issues of shareholders agreements, including problems of choice of optimal arbitration clauses, competent courts for considering cases, and related peculiarities of Russian legislation. He reported on the existing court practice on shareholders agreements under Russian law, on determining jurisdiction over a dispute, and choice of appropriate jurisdiction depending on structure of corporate relations.

Conference “Multiparty Arbitration and Parallel Proceedings” was organized by the International Chamber of Commerce and ICC International Court of Arbitration. During the conference the main issues of considering multiparty disputes at international arbitration were discussed. The event was attended by Alexander Komarov, Chairman of the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Professor at the Russian Academy of Foreign Trade, Galina Zukova, Head of Eastern Europe, Russia and CIS countries case management team of the Secretariat of the International Court of Arbitration of the ICC, Nina Vilkova, Professor at the Russian Academy of Foreign Trade; Member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, and other specialists in this area.
