ALRUD experts attended the ICC “The new anti-piracy law and other copyright and allied rights protection in the Internet initiatives” panel discussion

On June 23, 2015 “The new anti-piracy law and other copyright and allied rights protection in the Internet initiatives” panel discussion was held by the Russian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Russia).

The issues of the regulation of the relations between copyright holders and content users on the Internet are actively discussed at the Government of the RF, The Public Chamber and the Ministry of Culture. This topic causes extremely high interest among the public as well.

The Head of the National Federation of the Music Industry (NFMI) Leonid Agronov and legal adviser of the Film and Television Producers Association Sergey Semenov were moderators of the panel discussion.

The representatives of state agencies, businesspersons and leading experts attended the event. The participants discussed the first results of the anti-piracy law application and new initiatives on regulation of the content circulation in the Internet, among them - the concept of a global license. The discussion was attended by representatives of the music industry, film business and publishing business, in particular, Walt Disney Company CIS, Twentieth Century Fox CIS, Sony Music Enterteynment, NBC Universal International, Wargaming Public company, Rambler, the Court of intellectual property rights, the Russian Association of Electronic Communications.
