On March 25 law firm ALRUD has held a client seminar “Antimonopoly compliance: methods of risk decrease in new conditions”. The seminar was devoted to the changes in Russian antimonopoly law and antimonopoly compliance.
On January 5 “Fourth antimonopoly package” entered into force. The amendments adopted were designed to decrease administrative obligations on business and fill existing gaps in legislation. Within the seminar, speakers have narrated about the changes coming and explained how they could affect current company activities.
The second part of the seminar was devoted to compliance as a tool to decrease law violation risks during day-to-day commercial activities. In Russia, as well as in the rest of the world, penalties for antimonopoly violations arrive at million dollars. In such situation, preliminary analysis and risks decrease on the very first stage will allow the company to decrease administrative and financial costs.
