Annual conference Inter-Pacific Bar Association with the emphasis on “Different tasks – global solutions” topic was conducted on April 13-16th in Kuala-Lumpur, Malaysia. During the conference were discussed approaches to solving business questions taking into consideration cultural and legislative differences with Asia and Pacific.
Maxim Alekseev, ALRUD Senior Partner, performed in two sessions: “Private investments in Asian government infrastructure” and “Mass of contradictions – relevant changes in restructuring international governmental, private and sovereign debt”. First session, organized by Cross Border Investment Committee IPBA, was devoted to the discussion of Asian countries government initiative to encourage outbound investors and to business and juridical issues foreign investors may face.
Banking and Financial Security and Bankruptcy Committees organized the second session. During the session, legal experts, specializing in the sphere of governmental and private debt restructuration, commented changes concerning debt restructuration.
