October 26th ALRUD Law Firm and Bird & Bird, held a joint seminar “Project Development and Finance in Russia: key practical issues from English law and Russian law perspective”. Andrey Zharskiy, ALRUD Partner, Head of Energy, Natural Resources & Infrastructure Practice, and Anton Dzhuplin, Partner, Head of Banking and Finance Practice, were speakers on the Seminar.
During the Seminar ALRUD and Bird&Bird Specialists discussed key legal issues in respect to structuring, financing and development of the projects in Russian Federation in the field of Energy, Natural Resources and Infrastructure from English law and Russian law perspective, including Project Agreements, Off-take Agreements, some legal issues in respect to EPC Contracts and Service Agreements. They talked about practical solutions for these issues. Special attention was paid to the project financing, including different forms of financing and quasi-security arrangements, as well as the latest court practice of application of new Russian law concepts on the above matters.
