9th Annual IBA "Mergers and Acquisitions in Russia and CIS" Conference

November, 10th in its 9th year, a leading conference brought together practitioners from around the globe to discuss the latest emerging developments and hot topics in Russian and CIS M&A law as well as hosting input and commentary from some of the world’s leading experts in the field.

The conference presented by the IBA Corporate and M&A Law Committee, supported by the IBA European Regional Forum. A conference operator was Russian Arbitration Association. ALRUD Senior Partner Vassily Rudomino co-chaired the conference and together with Alexander Zharskiy, Partner, heading Corporate / M&A Practice, actively participated in the Conference, being members of the Planning Committee.

Alexander Zharskiy and Slaughter and May Partner, Andrew Jolly moderated second session “Current legal M&A issues”. The panelists discussed the latest trends and developments in M&A deals in Russia and CIS region. In particular, the following issues addressed: More than 80 corporate counsel, Private Practice lawyers, financiers and other experts specializing in mergers and acquisitions participated in the conference.

The interview with Chairman of the Management Board Dmitry Konov, Sibur was held during the conference this year. Dmitry Konov talked about the role of a leader and prospects of Russian business development in a new economic environment.
