Vassily Rudomino and German Zakharov participated in Eurasian Anti-Cartel Forum

On November 24, 2017 Eurasian Anti-Cartel Forum 2017 took place. It was organized by the information and education resource LF Academy together with the Non-commercial partnership "Competition Support Association in the CIS Countries" with support of the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service of Russia.

The international practical Forum was held in the format of a series of moot sessions where all participants took part in a simulated international investigation of a suspected cartel agreement. Apart from being involved into the practice-oriented part of the Forum speakers and participants also discussed the prospects of future legislative development and practice of combating cross-border cartels.

Vassily Rudomino and German Zakharov together with representatives of the FAS Russia performed as thought leaders of the Forum being held in such format and took an active part in its arranagements.

Vassily Rudomino, ALRUD Senior Partner, Chairman of the Board Committee of the Non-commercial partnership 'Competition Support Association in the CIS Countries', opened the Conference and welcomed its participants, guests and leaders.

Playing a role of an In-House of the Legal Department of one imaginary company JSC “Eurasian Motors” German Zakharov, ALRUD Partner in real life, took part in the moot session “Eurasian Motors JSC Finds Out About the Cartel Agreement. Next Steps.” Participants of this session dramatized a discussion between external legal consultants and the in-house on the next steps that might be taken by JSC “Eurasian Motors” suspected of involvement into an international cartel agreement.

The Forum was a success, and basing on the moot investigation it afforded the participants to discuss the main trends, practical aspects and challenges of the anti-cartel law enforcement in various jurisdictions as part of a cross-border investigation.
