ALRUD experts took the floor at the VII Moscow Family Office Forum
VII Moscow Family Offices Forum took place in the Ritz-Carlton Hotel on the 15th and 16th of November 2017. The event serves as a liaising platform for asset managers, banks, family offices and consultants, and as an effective venue for discussion of changes in the private client service market, deoffshorization, and investment opportunities for institutional and private investors.
ALRUD experts took part in the session “Succession and estate planning issues for HNWI”. In his speech Alexander Zharsky, Partner, raised the topic of legal instruments available for structuring partnership relations and corporate management in joint business. Alexander described the algorithm of drafting a shareholders’ agreement and gave practical recommendations on negotiation and execution of corporate agreements.
The speech of Ekaterina Vasina, Associate of ALRUD Private Client Practice, was devoted to family law, more specifically to the legal aspects of coownership of property in marriage and influencing business owned by one of the spouses, including transactions structuring and business inheritance. Ekaterina provided also the examples of reverse influence: how business affects other property of the spouses – for instance, the possibility of levying execution upon such property on account of debt repayment.
