The 8th edition of the Executive Remuneration Review was published in October 2019.
Executive remuneration encompasses a diverse range of practices and is consequently influenced by many different areas of the law, including tax, employment, securities and other aspects of corporate law. The publication provides an overview of these areas of law as they relate to the executive remuneration. in more than 20 jurisdictions. The book provides guidance to in-house and outside counsel and business on issues important for structuring executive compensation arrangements in different countries, taking into account local regulations.
Irina Anyukhina, ALRUD Partner, Elena Novikova and Olga Pimanova, ALRUD Advisors, were the authors of the Russia chapter of this publication. In their material, they revealed important aspects of the current regulation related to setting and pay out of remuneration to the top managers, both in cash and equity, including relevant employment law, securities regulations and corporate governance issues. An important and material part of the article describes tax issues related to remuneration payments, including detailed analysis of applicable taxes, procedure of their calculation and payment, as well as key aspects of the currency regulation applicable to certain types of payments.
