On November 19th, ALRUD Law Firm held a seminar on "Antitrust Disputes: The Latest Trends and Current Issues."
During the seminar, ALRUD experts spoke about the latest trends in antitrust cases and its appeals in Russian courts. Speakers noted an increase in the number of complex antitrust disputes, for which settlement requires both the correctly-developed strategy to prosecute cases, and the ability to agree upon compromise solutions with the regulator, taking into account economic and technological specifics of the Client.
As a part of the business agenda, the participants learned whether a legal dispute can help secure antitrust, or strategic, approval, and whether it is possible to challenge a competitor's deal.
Speakers at the seminar were Sergey Petrachkov, Partner of Dispute Resolution Practice, Ruslana Karimova, Senior Associate of Antitrust Regulation Practice, as well as Denis Becker, ALRUD Associate, and Anastasiya Kayukova, ALRUD Attorney. Vadim Novikov, economist, was a guest speaker. He detailed the key recommendations on calculating the amount of antitrust losses suffered.
