Ksenia Tarkhova, ALRUD Senior Associate, and Anastasia Kayukova, ALRUD Senior Attorney, prepared an article for Kluwer Competition Law blog.
The article is devoted to the first steps of antimonopoly sector of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) in regulation of the cross-border competition and dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the development of the Eurasian integration project and the 5th anniversary of the functioning of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), which includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia. The authors analyzed such issues as improving the EAEU antimonopoly law and introducing new legal mechanisms of regulation of the cross-border competition, delamination of powers between the EEC and local competition authorities, as well as the recent antimonopoly cases and new EEC investigations.
