On December 10th, ALRUD Law Firm held a webinar: "Bankruptcy Proceedings in Russia", for the members of the Japanese Business Club (JBC). The JBC is a division of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry and promotes the development of the business of Japanese companies located in Russia.
During the webinar, ALRUD’s experts described the main stages and specifics of the bankruptcy procedure in Russia, commented on the key provisions and problematic issues, related to the moratorium on bankruptcy and the extension of its operation. A large part of the discussion was devoted to securing the legal status of a collateral lender, in the bankruptcy case of the debtor, and issues relating to the fate of the pledged item.
Maxim Alekseev, Senior Partner of ALRUD, Head of Asia-Pacific Desk, Tax Practice and Private Clients' Practices, provided a lively interaction with the participants of the webinar.
