Stanislav Veselov spoke at the webinar “Sublease Market in Russia in 2022” organized by AEB

On November 24th, the AEB Real Estate Committee held a webinar “Sublease Market in Russia in 2022”, at which Stanislav Veselov, ALRUD Senior Associate of Real Estate Practice , spoke on the topic “Legal regime of the sublease agreement. Legal inspection of subleased premises: general approaches and specifics of subleasing”.

This year, due to significant changes in the business sphere, issues involving the sublease of non-residential premises have become particularly relevant. Sublease agreements, unlike ordinary leases, have a number of additional complexities related to the terms of the original lease agreement, the subtenant’s relationship with the property owner, the duration of the sublease agreement, and the disposal of movable property. There are also legislative restrictions on facilities that may be subject to sublease agreements. At the webinar, experts discussed commercial and legal aspects of the sublease of non-residential premises.
