Margarita Egiazarova, Senior Associate in the Labour Practice of ALRUD Law Firm, PhD, published a new topical piece in the professional magazine “Labour Disputes” discussing the cutting of a remote employee – a member of an electoral commission.

Margarita shared her personal experience of successfully defending the interests of the company in an extraordinary labour dispute. The employee sought to make dismissal as difficult as possible and repeatedly abused his rights. In addition to numerous sick and holiday leaves, the employee became a voting member of the electoral commission and engaged the Prosecutor's Office to represent his interests. Following a nine-month redundancy procedure, the employee was dismissed. In this new article, Margarita describes how the company litigated with the Prosecutor's Office and was able to defend its position in three instances.
