M&A market leaders met at “Mergers and Acquisitions in Russia 2024” in Moscow

The conference took place on November 14 at Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow Hotel and gathered leading experts in economics and law to discuss M&A market trends in Russia in the new context.

Alexander Zharskiy, ALRUD Partner, Head of Corporate and M&A Practice, co-chaired the conference and addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.

The conference speakers raised questions on new norms and standards of M&A transactions, peculiarities of working with foreign assets in corporate structures of Russian companies, drivers of M&A activity and the practice of dispute resolution in the field of M&A that has developed over the last two years.

The conference participants were also presented with the results of the unique study of M&A practice in Russia in 2022-2024, conducted jointly by the leaders of the legal market: ALRUD, Nikolskaya Consulting, Orion, Stonebridge Legal, Mansors, Melling, Voitishkin & Partners, KKMP.

Sergey Khanaev, Partner of ALRUD's Corporate and M&A Practice, moderated the session “Standards of M&A mechanisms in Russian transactions – issues of representations, indemnification of losses and liability of the parties”. During the discussion, the panelists touched upon the issues of protecting the interests of parties in M&A transactions and peculiarities of judicial practice regarding enforcement of M&A mechanisms in Russia.

The conference was attended by over 120 delegates representing leading law firms and corporate lawyers.
