Ilya Khodakov is a Senior Associate in the Intellectual Property, Dispute Resolution, Data Protection and Cybersecurity Practices, an expert in TMT and Life Sciences at ALRUD Law Firm.

Ilya specializes in intellectual property protection and disputes, advertising and personal data. His expertise encompasses complex IP transactions, including license and franchising agreements, due diligence and assignment of IP rights in M&A transactions.

Ilya is a registered trademark attorney. He has built up extensive practical experience in IP dispute proceedings in courts, FAS Russia (the Federal Antimonopoly Service) and the Chamber of Patent Disputes. Ilya is a highly-effective negotiator, especially in complex disputes.

Ilya graduated from Moscow State University and finished his post-graduate degree in the Russian State Academy of Intellectual Property. In 2025, he was admitted to the Degree of Master of Laws at the University of London.

Graduated from the Law Faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) and completed postgraduate studies at the Russian State Academy of Intellectual Property (RGAIS), successfully defended a Candidate of Sciences dissertation and was awarded the degree of Candidate of Legal Sciences (PhD in Law), as well as a Master's Degree in Law from the University of London (UK).

Ilya is a member of International Trademark Association (INTA).
