On May 28, 2026, Maria Nevezhina, a Senior Associate in the Labour and Employment Practice, PhD, spoke at and moderated a joint meeting of the HR Committee and the Accounting Working Group of the FTC.

Maria gave a presentation on “Bonuses 2026: Key Features” covering judicial approaches to bonus issues that have developed following regulatory changs in September 2025.

In her speech, Maria touched upon the requirements for local bonuses regulation to minimize the risks of disputes with employees and additional accruals, the grounds for reducing bonuses in cases of disciplinary offenses or mere disciplinary violations by employees, as well as three judicial practice approaches to calculating the amount of bonus reductions.
