On December 16, the annual antitrust regulation seminar for clients was held in ALRUD Law Firm. The Senior Partner Vassily Rudomino addressed the participants of the event with opening speech. The speakers of the seminar were Senior Associate German Zakharov, Associate Ludmila Merzlikina, Associate Alexander Lipkes, Senior Attorney Ruslana Karimova and Senior Attorney Dmitry Mikryukov.
During the seminar the following topics were discussed:
Review of well-known and precedent cases, which influenced the law enforcement practice.
Antitrust regulation within the Eurasian Economic Union (Russia, Kazakstan and Belarus); delimitation of powers of national and supranational competition authorities.
Advertising regulation and unfair competition experience; of business reputation by filing a claim to the competition authority.
In conclusion German Zakharov and Dmitry Mikryukov held a master class to practice the actions of employees during the competition authority inspection. The guests of the seminar have had an opportunity to watch the video record of the real unscheduled inspection held by the competition authority (“dawn raid”) few years ago, and discuss the actions of the inspection and employees during such “dawn raid”.
