ALRUD experts successfully represented interests of Russkaya Energia on the acquisition of Vorkutaugol from Severstal

ALRUD specialists advised Russkaya Energia on the acquisition of Vorkutaugol from Severstal.
The deal value is RUB 15 bn.
Vorkutaugol is one of the largest coal-mining companies in Russia. It accounts for 11% of the production of coking coal used in the country’s metal industry. Coal production by Vorkutaugol enterprises in 2021 amounted to 8.8 million tonnes.
ALRUD team, working on the project under the leadership of Andrey Zharskiy (Partner and Head of the Energy, Natural Resources and Infrastructure Industry Group), comprised Counsel Oleg Ezhov, Senior Associate Ksenia Erokhina, Senior Attorney Alexander Shipilov and Trainee Roman Shpuntenko.
