On 4 April 2024 the conference “Labour Law and Labour Disputes - 2024” was held by Pravo.ru.
Irina Anyukhina, Partner in ALRUD Labour and Employment practice, moderated the round table of the third session: “UNCONFERENCE. “Brain drain” – trend to relocation and staff shortage”.
Irina offered the participants of the conference to discuss how to operate business under the conditions of staff shortage due to skilled employees relocation and general lack of manpower
Irina mentioned that business started to resolve the problem of staff shortage by maintaining contacts with prospective candidates and using civil contracts and hiring self-employed and retiring workers as an alternative. Irina also believes that some tasks can be delegated to artificial intelligence. However, there is a risk of financial liability in case the decision taken on the basis of algorithms is challenged.
The discussion was rather hot. The participants shared their case history and asked questions to the expert.
