On 17 April 2024 as part of the project “Foreign Trade Chamber Week in St. Peterburg” the “Day of General Directors” organized by the Russian-German Foreign Trade Chamber took place.
Margarita Egiazarova, PhD in Law, Senior Associate in ALRUD Labour and Employment Practice, spoke on: “Key trends in labour relations: decision-relevant information”.
In her speech Margarita addressed the key trends including strengthening of control over compliance with the requirements for payments relating to current employees of the company and other categories of persons, the order of indexation prescribed by the company and established by the employer, tightening of control over dismissal procedure, broadening of requirements to the employers, increased focus on the protection of employees’ rights, and changes in the approach to workplace quotas for disabled people, countering illegal employment, and strengthening of prosecutor’s supervision over respect for the employees’ labour rights.
This topic was of much interest to the audience, the participants actively asked questions and got involved into discussion.
